Golden Isles MLS

The Golden Isles Multiple Listing Service is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS®.  It operates under a separate Board of Directors and governing documents.  The Golden Isles Multiple Listing Service is open to all REALTOR® and non-REALTOR® Brokers as required under Georgia law.

This organization is a Broker run organization since it is based on Broker cooperation in the real estate transaction.  Under Georgia law, only Brokers can engage in real estate services for a fee.   Commission earned and shared in a real estate transaction is between Brokers only.  Agents working for a broker are paid under a separate compensation agreement with their Brokers.  As such, all licensees work under the authority of a Broker and their efforts are done so under their name. Technically, all listings are taken under the Broker/Company name and the offer of cooperation and compensation are made to other member Brokers.
